How do I care for my indoor plants in UAE?

How to pack for plant delivery Dubai?

Plants are one of the best ways to beautify your home. Whether indoors or outdoors, plants can add to the aesthetics and beauty of your home. Besides, plants can also purify the surrounding air, providing clean and fresh air to breathe.

Most people purchase plants from plant stores. You can easily transport the plants home if you purchase them from a local store nearby. But what if you have to pack for plant delivery in Dubai? You should do it the most professional way to ensure that the plant does not get damaged.

How To Pack For Plant Delivery Dubai?

  • Step 1

First, you should remove the plant from the soil. Gently pull the plant and shake it to remove excess soil. You need not remove the soil entirely as the plant can quickly adapt to the new place with the leftover soil.

  • Step 2

Plants need moisture for their survival. For this, you can wet a paper towel and wrap it around the root. If you are shipping the plant a long distance, you can wrap multiple paper towels to keep the plant moist throughout. The paper towel will slowly release the moisture and keep the plant healthy and happy.

  • Step 3

To seal the moisture and keep the plant in place, you should wrap the root with a clear plastic wrap. You can also place the plant in a plastic bag and seal it. This helps lock the moisture and protect the fragile root.

  • Step 4

You should now secure the top part of the plant with a rubber band. You can also wrap a newspaper around it if you want. This protects the leaves and stems of the plant.

  • Step 5

Once it is packed neatly, you should place it in a corrugated box. The box should be strong enough to withstand any rough handling. If there is any space on the box after placing the plant, you should fill it with packing paper or newspaper so that the plant remains intact. Instead of paper, you can also place bubble wrap or packing peanuts.

  • Step 6

Close the box with a properly fitting lid and seal it with a tape so that the plant does not role out. You can label the box “live plant” or “fragile” so that the box will be carefully handled. You can also write the delivery address on the box.

How to pack large plants for delivery?

  • Step 1

Using a spray bottle, spray a bit of water on the top soil of the plant. Now place a newspaper on top of the soil and spray water again. This provides moisture to the soil and prevents the soil from spilling.

  • Step 2

Take a container netting and pack it around the pot. You should bend the stems and leaves as required. Now secure the netting with a florists wiring.

  • Step 3

Wrap a bubble wrap around the container netting. This protects the plant and prevent the pot from breaking. Hold the bubble wrap in place with a tape. Slowly move the plant to a plant caddy with wheels. This makes it easy to load it on a vehicle for transportation.

To reduce the weight of the plant, it is best to transport them right before the next watering is due. The newspaper on the soil keeps the soil moist and provide enough humidity to the plant.

Whether you are selling plants and flowers Dubai mall or in any other place, it is very important to pack them carefully. This ensures that the plant and soil remain intact. At the same time, you should ensure that the plant gets enough moisture so that it does not dries off.
