But what if you want to grow your own flowering plants and use that for decorating the house? Though the climate of Dubai is hot and humid, it is possible to grow flowering plants in this region. 

1. Sunflower

Sunflowers grow primarily during summer and can reach up to 14 feet. Most varieties of sunflowers can tolerate heat and drought. Thus, it can withstand the climatic condition of Dubai. It can also tolerate most types of soil. However, you should provide proper support for the plant to grow.

The bright colour of sunflowers attracts bees, thus making your garden look more vibrant. You can use sunflower for side table decor. A single sunflower in a tall vase can change the look of your interiors.  

2. Zinnias

3. Marigold

Daylilies grow well in full sunlight and require deep watering during summer. They grow well in rich, well-draining soil. The flower blooms in yellow, pink and red colours. Daylilies also make a great decor piece for the sidetable. 

5. Rose

Roses are love flowers that are very easy to grow. The plant requires full sunlight with well-draining soil. It would be best to fertilise them regularly for the bloom to last. Also, remember to keep the soil moist by watering them regularly. 

You can make a rose bouquet with a bunch of roses which you can gift to someone dear. Alternatively, you can also use it as table decor. 

6. Geraniums

Gernaiums grow in different shades like red, pink, white and yellow. You can grow the plant either from seeds or saplings. Geranium does not require full sun. Thus, you can plant them in a shady area where direct sunlight is available. 

A bunch of geraniums in a clear glass vase makes an excellent side table decor. Similarly, you can also arrange them in a basket as a table centrepiece.
